Holger Jungnickel
CinematographerBorn in a small town in the middle eastern part of Germany skateboarding and Punk Rock were the two most important things in life. Documenting these early days visually with a camera came naturally.
While studying media technology at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences Holger more and more gravitaded towards camera work. After graduation he stepped into the film instustry as a 2nd assistant camera moving up the ranks quickly leading to his first operating jobs. Shooting short films between jobs with like minded collaborators nourished the growing hunger for creation.
In 2012 he enters the cinematography class of Munich University of Television and Film. Jobs as operator and 2nd Unit DP on numerous national and international movies payed the bills and food for his little family through out this time. Since 2015 he is focusing on his own cinematography in narrative and commercial projects without forgetting his passion for music videos and intimate documentaries.
When Holger is not prepping or shooting he finds great balance in touring the European coastline with his girls in their camper – van or lets loose in Munich’s world famous surfspot the Eisbach.
