Josef Zeller

On the edge of his seat and his heart rate all the way up to 180, Josef fells most comfortable when watching movies.

As one can imagine he’s a big fan of genre fiction and there’s almost always a Stephan King book within his grasp. But not only does the Master Of Horror constantly teach him the real meaning of Fear, Josef also learned a very important lesson from him. Even the most thrilling story is worth practically nothing without approachable characters and understandable conflict. Something Josef always keeps in mind whenever writing a story.

2015, while studying script writing at HFF München, he met Lisa Reich. Since then his life is not only filled with much more joy than before, he also got blessed with a creative partner with whom he approaches the majority of his projects together.

Their short films were screened at several film festivals, including Hofer Filmtage, were part of the Next Generation Short Tiger program in Cannes and won awards at the Blaue Blume Award and the 13th Street Shocking Short.

MÆRE, their HFF graduation film, premiered at the 43. Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis.
